New Delhi: While the whole nation mourns the demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heerben’s demise, an old picture of the duo has surfaced on the social media. The picture is apparently of the time when PM Modi’s mother Heeraben made appearance in public for the first time.
Despite occupying the highest office of the country, Prime Minister has made a deliberate effort to keep his family away from the spotlight. However, it was only during yearly visits to mother’s residence in hometown that pictures of the duo would surface and become talking point of the nation. Every year, PM Modi started the day on his birthday after taking mother’s blessings.
Meanwhile, a picture purportedly of Heeraben’s first public appearance has surfaced now. The picture dates back to January 30, 1992 when Narendra Modi returned from Ekta Yatra and was greeted by partymen as well as his mother.
The photo has been shared by a Twitter handle named Modi Archive.

A grand civic felicitation was organized in Ahmedabad to welcome Narendra Modi & all Ekta Yatris. In the photo, mother Heeraben can be seen applying Tilak to PM Modi’s forehead.
This was for the first time that PM Modi’s mother Heeraben was captured by the cameras at any public event.
