New Delhi: M Hanumanthappa, a man in Mangote village of Karnataka’s Shivamogga district has become the talk of the town as he goes to the MESCOM office almost every day to charge his cell phones and use the electricity to run the mixer grinder. In the office, no officials object to this and Hanumanthappa also returns happily to his home after completing the task.
Now, a question comes as to why Hanumanthappa goes to the electricity office. It all started after the resident of Mangote village stopped receiving proper electricity while his neighbours did not have such a problem.

After this, the man filed a complaint to MESCOM to get the problem fixed. But, nobody took his problem seriously in the office.
Due to lack of action, Hanumanthappa one day decided to call a senior MESOCM official. During the conversation, the grieved person asked the official, ”How do you think we should grind masala and cook food at home? How should we charge our phones?”
However, the official lost his cool and replied to the villager, ”Then go to the MESCOM office and grind your masala.”
Taking the words seriously, Hanumanthappa started going on a daily tip to the MESCOM office to fulfill his basic nessescity.
Briefing the media, a Junior Engineer of MESCOM said, ”Due to heavy rains IP sets could not be charged…we have ensured Hanumanthappa that he will get the power within a month.”
Hanumanthappa has now stopped the mixie-masala trip to MESCOM but he is yet to receive the power supply to his house.
