Pran Pratistha to begin from 12.20 PM on Jan 22: Ram Temple Trust gives break-up of week-long event

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has also appealed to all the Lord Ram devotees in the country and abroad to decorate & lighten up the temples in their vicinity, on the day when Ram Lalla idol is installed in the grand temple.

New Delhi: Champat Rai, the Secretary General of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra held a press meet today and gave out details of the historic Pran Pratistha event in Ayodhya, slated for January 22.

He informed that the Pran Pratistha (consecration) ceremony will begin from 12.20 PM in the afternoon, during the auspicious Abhijeet Muhurta and asserted that all religious protocols are being followed for the same.

He also listed out details of the ceremony & rituals that will be performed for a week prior to the Pran Pratistha.

Dwaadash Adhivaas protocols will be as follows:-

16th January – Praayaschitta and Karmakuti Poojan
17th – Parisar Pravesh of the Murty
18th evening – Teerth Poojan, Jal Yatra, Jalaadhivas and Gandhaadhivaas
19th morning – Aushadhaadhivaas, Kesaraadhivaas, Ghritaadhivaas and in the evening – Dhaanyaadhivaas
20th morning – Sharkaraadhivaas, Phalaadhivaas, and in the evening – Pushpaadhivaas
21st January morning – Madhyaadhivaas and in the evening – Shayyaadhivaas

Meanwhile, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has also appealed to all the Lord Ram devotees in the country and abroad to decorate & lighten up the temples in their vicinity, on the day when Ram Lalla idol is installed in the grand temple. Also, bhajan, kirtan and aarti should be performed as per the protocols of Hindu religion.

It also appealed to people to watch the Pran-Pratistha program collectively by putting up a film screen. Ramjyoti (Panchdeepak) should be lit in the name of Shri Ram lala with the chanting of Jai Jai Shri Ram in houses in on evening of 22nd January.

What will happen on Pran Pratistha day

On January 22, when Ram Lalla will be placed at the place of his incarnation in Ayodhya, Shubh Mangal Dhwani will be organized at the premises for 2 hours to charge the atmosphere of the place with auspiciousness. An elaborate ritual of Mangal Dhwani is being put in place in front of the deity to radiate joy, auspiciousness and energy.

On the occasion of consecration ceremony, traditional musical instruments will be played from various regions and states across the country. A total of 25 prominent & rare musical instruments will be played on the occasions, by skilled artists of those instruments.
