New Delhi: The name of Rahul Gandhi started trending on social media after he made a hilarious remark on the price rise in the country on Sunday. Addressing a rally named ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol’, Rahul Gandhi said that ‘Atta is at Rs 22 per litre’. The rally was called by the Congress party in Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan today.

At the rally, senior Congress leaders and party workers from Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and other states were also gathered. Soon after Rahul’s remark, many people took to Twitter to make fun of Rahul Gandhi. The gaffe reportedly happened as Rahul was reading from a script. A few people also said the scriptwriter wrote ‘litre’ instead of ‘kilo’.

The Congress MP claimed earlier that the government has been avoiding the debate on price rises in Parliament for a long time.

A user said the scriptwriter of the speech is an agent of the BJP.

Sharing a photo of people holding a water can, a user wrote Congress workers are going to take flour in it.

Another user wrote, ”This person (Rahul Gandhi) creates confusion across India.”

”Hello @INCIndia can you supply 100 litres of atta,” said the fourth user.

”Here comes No. 1 Comedian of the country,” said the fifth user.
