Ram Mandir in Ayodhya: The construction for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya started only after Supreme Court verdict’s of November 9, 2019.

New Delhi: Two years after the ground-breaking ceremony conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more than 40 per cent of the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya has been completed, according to officials of the trust entrusted with the responsibility.

Champat Rai, general secretary, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, said that devotees from all over the world could pay obeisance to the deity from December 2023.

The Ayodhya trust officials also said the construction as well as demolition activities is on full swing to improve the roads around the temple.

Champat Rai also said more than 80 per cent of the plinth work is done.

Also, temples of Valmiki, Kewat, Shabari, Jatayu, Sita, Vighneshwar (Ganesh) and Sheshavatar (Lakshman) will also be constructed within a ​​70-acre area in the vicinity of the Ram temple.

Besides the construction work, demolition of shops and houses for widening the road leading to the famous Hanumangarhi mandir is also underway.

The locals are voluntarily demolishing their shops and houses after initial protests, that come in the way of the road-widening project.

The next general Assembly election is scheduled to be held in 2024.

On regular basis, Rai oversees the construction work, holds meetings and reviews the progress.

On August 5, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had performed the “bhoomipujan” for the construction of the temple.

The construction for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya started only after Supreme Court verdict’s of November 9, 2019.
