Rotary Club of Delhi Regency Next’s Project ‘Mission Indradhanush’ is gaining momentum

Regency Next’s Project under GOI’s ‘Mission Indradhanush’ for Total Immunization coverage in children through cross country awareness drive in a Message Car.

New Delhi: This Delhi based next generation Rotary Club REGENCY NEXT is an integral part of the ‘Mission Indradhanush’ drive of the Government of India and has recently flagged off a Message Car to promote ‘Mission Indradhanush’.

The Message Car, carrying the signature slogan “5 Saal 7 Baar – Choote na teeka ek bhi baar”, was flagged off by Past District Governor of Rotary District 3011 Mr. Deepak Kapur on the World Polio Day from Rotary International South Asia Office, Aerocity.

Mr. Ashcharya Khanna, President, Rotary Club of Delhi Regency Next, said “Our primary goal is to spread awareness and popularize immunization under the ‘Mission Indradhanush’ health initiative of the Government of India which aims to promote vaccine awareness amongst the underprivileged”

“Our Message Car has vibrant colors to carry the message for Universal Immunization to every corner of India and making sure people are motivated to take their children to primary health centres and immunization booths to get immunization against all vaccine preventable diseases,” he said.

One may contact their nearest primary health center or immunization booth or call on toll free number of their State for further details. The driver of the Message Car would also distribute pamphlets containing information on the Universal Immunization Program of Government of India.

Mr. Rahul Jain, Regency Next’s ‘Mission Indradhanush’ Project Chair, informed “The Message Car is presently displayed at ML Sethi Petrol Pump at Rohini, Delhi. We will also display the Message Car at different religious places, petrol pumps, shopping malls, markets and various Rotary conventions pan India. We feel parking the Message Car at prestigious institutions would help greatly spread awareness and thus help improve the lives of millions of children who are at risk from these vaccine preventable diseases.”

Message Car travels to many Indian cities

The Message Car has already travelled to Indore, Agra, Lucknow, Prayagraj and Kolkata.

“The wrap on one side of the Message Car will be redesigned to include Leprosy Awareness Project which is a joint project with 5 Rotary Clubs in the District,” Jain added.

Rotary Club of Delhi Regency Next was chartered on 6 November 2017 and has been undertaking some remarkable projects since then. The Club is looking to collaborate with prestigious institutions to help promote this noble mission which would aid in achieving full immunization coverage for all children and pregnant women.
