However, this is not just the first instance of security forces busting the Pulwama type terror plot by the terrorists.

On May 28, 2020, forces intercepted car with IED, got it exploded

On May 28 this year, the security forces recovered a car carrying an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Pulwama district of Kashmir. Reports said that the terrorists were planning to place the explosive-laden car at a strategic location in order to smash a convoy of the security forces or hit a defence installation.

Terrorists had placed the IED inside a blue drum which was being transported in the car. The security forces, after locating it, decided to explode the IED along with the car rather than defuse it.
