SGPC chief attacked near Chandigarh border, stones pelted at his car

Protesters hurled stones at his car, however, the SGPC chief is said to have escaped unhurt.

New Delhi: Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Harjinder Singh Dhami came under attack from protestors at the Mohali-Chandigarh border. Protesters hurled stones at his car, however, the SGPC chief is said to have escaped unhurt.

Harjinder Singh Dhami had gone to the Mohali-Chanidgarh border to attend a demonstration ‘Kaumi Insaaf Morcha’to show solidarity with them. Those sitting at the protest site bristled over his visit and created a ruckus.

Some men started pelting stones at his car, following which his windscreen got broke. SGPC chief is said to be safe & unharmed in the incident. Reports suggest that some men also wielded swords, with the intention to attack him & his followers.
