New Delhi: In a shocking case of high-handedness by the ruling Shiv Sena party, its workers on Friday attack a retired Navy officer and beat him black and blue. His fault was that he shared a WhatsApp forward mocking Uddhav Thackeray.
The Sena barged inside the residential complex and thrashed the Navy veteran for sharing the satirical cartoon on Shiv Sena boss & Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray.
BJP MLA shared the video of 6 Sena goons dragging the veteran by his collar and slapping him in the face many times.

He further claimed that Sharma’s eye was badly injured in the attack.
“I want to tell the Maharashtra CM, who is also the chief of Sena, that citizens of Maharashtra will not be afraid of ‘goondaism’ and will not remain silent,'” the BJP MLA said.

The 62-year-old retired Navy veteran – Madan Sharma, is currently under treatment at Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali. The officer has allegedly filed a complaint against the Sena workers at Kandivali police station.
Maharashtra govt’s conduct in recent days has been highly abominable. First, the Sena-controlled BMC razed the office of Kangana Ranaut at just one-day notice afte getting into a spat with the actor. It has also imprisoned 2 TV journalists of Republic TV. And, now such tyrannical behavior of Sena goons speaks volumes about the abuse of power by state machinery.
