BJP leader Smriti Irani revealed on Twitter that she has tested positive for Coronavirus on Sunday.

New Delhi: BJP leader Smriti Irani revealed on Twitter that she has tested positive for Coronavirus on Sunday. Owing to this, she had to cancel her visit to Delhi’s Rajendra Nagar.

Reportedly, she was scheduled to attend the election programme on June 23.

She apologised to the residents of the area for not being able to attend the election programme. Notably, the BJP candidate Rajesh Bhatia is fighting the election from the area after AAP MLA Raghav Chadha quit his seat.

She wished the BJP candidate for winning the election and asked for people’s support in the election for him.

Raghav Chadha resigned from the seat in March to fight the Rajya Sabha election. He later won the election.

From the Rajendra Nagar assembly seat, the prominent candidates of AAP’s Durgesh Pathak, BJP’s Rajesh Bhatia and the Congress’ Prem Lata are in the fray.
