Snake venom case: YouTuber Elvish Yadav gets police notice, likely interrogation soon

Reports suggest that Noida police may soon quiz Elvish Yadav and may confront him with Rahul Yadav, one of the accused.

New Delhi: In mounting trouble for popular YouTuber and social media influencer Elvish Yadav, the Noida Police on Tuesday served a notice to him in the snake venom case and may interrogate him soon.

Elvish Yadav recently found himself in the thick of snake venom case, as he along with 5 others have been accused of using & supplying it at rave parties.

Noida police have so far, arrested 5 people for allegedly supplying snakes & snake venom at parties in Delhi-NCR. Elvish Yadav got dragged into the snake venom row during interrogation of Rahul, one of the accused.

The YouTuber’s alleged involvement in venom supply at rave parties hogged the national headlines, though he denied all the charges. He was detained briefly by Rajasthan Police yesterday & questioned over alleged role in the case.

Meanwhile, the police has stepped up its investigation in the rave parties case and has reportedly stumbled upon CCTV footages of such parties being held in Delhi & Rajasthan. A police team has been tasked to find more information on this.

How snake venom scandal came to light

Police have made five arrests in the snake venom case. It was unearthed and brought to light by an NGO working for animal rights. It laid a ‘trap’ for the snake venom gang and impersonated as buyers for cobras & pythons for a proposed rave party.

The snake venom seized from the accused custody is being examined, reports said.

As per initial probe, the snake venom was also laced with some chemicals at the rave parties, however, some reports claimed that it was just a drug.

Phone calls to be examined

Police is likely to examine the call records of all accused and also of Elvish Yadav. Any incident of conversation will establish the alleged links between YouTuber & the venom mafia. It may be noted that Rahul Yadav, apparently on the trap call, admitted to have smuggled poisonous snakes & venom from outside Delhi to rave parties.

For the uninitiated, Elvish Yadav is a popular social media influencer. He fame shot to new heights after he won the Bigg Boss OTT 2, hosted by Salman Khan.

The Bigg Boss winner has also been unabashed in countering the allegations. He also issued a warning to sorts to Parliamentarian Maneka Gandhi, who called for stringent action for all those involved in this racket.

“Maneka Gandhi ji called me the head of snake supplier. l will file a defamation case against Maneka Gandhi. I will not spare her, Elvish said in a vlog.
