New Delhi: The world-famed Swaminarayan Akshardham temple will soon have a new spiritual centre opened for devotees & public in America. The Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Robbinsvelle, New Jersey is the world’s biggest Hindu temple and is in final stages of big inauguration ceremony, slated for October 8.
The festive mood is palpable at the sprawling temple complex with hundreds of elated swamis & devotees participating in the Festival of Inspirations, currently underway at the BAPS temple.
The opening ceremony of the grand temple has already kicked off with series of festivities at the temple and will see its grand inauguration by Mahant Swami Maharaj on October 8.
The BAPS Swaminaryan Akshardham temple in New Jersey will only be its third majestic & grandiose structure in the world, with first in Ahmedabad & second in Delhi. The temple, spread over 183 acres, will be largest Hindu temple in America and will serve as highest seat of spiritualism for Hindu culture.
Once open for public pilgrimage, the BAPS temple in New Jersey will see hordes of devotees visiting the temple as it is not just a landmark but will also serve as sacred place of worship. The BAPS will serve as beacon of Hindu architecture, culture, unity & selfless service and will present the rich Hindu culture & Sanatana Dharma to American residents.
The construction of BAPS Mahamandir in United States was inspired by 5th spiritual successor, saint Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Every carving of the temple complex has been inspired by the visionary guidance by Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj. The temple came into existence with the active contribution & dedication of over 12,500 volunteers who worked for 12 years for raising this architecture marvel in New Jersey.
The entire Swaminarayan sect along with swamis & volunteers is excited & jubilant over the grand opening of BAPS temple on American soil. As the inauguration ceremony comes nearer, thousands of devotees are preparing to assemble in New Jersey and witness the grand spectacle unfold in person.
