New Delhi: Samajawadi Party MP ST Hassan has sparked off an uproar over his controversial remarks and direct charge at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The SP lawmaker, while referring to Ram Temple, has given a communal spin to stone-pelting incidents, claiming that these miscreants are no one else but sponsored elements of BJP. “When ‘Chanda collection’ drive begins for construction of Ram Temple, they will provoke Muslim youths for stone-pelting. And, some sold-off Muslims will fall into their trap. They will pelt stones and will ultimately end up being targeted by police,” SP MP said while speaking to the gathering. He said that it is saffron party’s nature to resort to Hindu-Muslim formula whenever election approaches. He warned them not to get befooled by its gameplan and take right decision as per their conscience. Hassan made reference of recent stone-pelting incident in Madhya Pradesh and cautioned the crowd against becoming a 'pawn in someone’s hands'. समाजवादी पार्टी सांसद एसटी हसन का विवादित बयान कहा- 'राम मंदिर पर चंदा लेने वालों पर कुछ बिके मुसलमान करेंगे पथराव...' | @samajwadiparty @BJP4UP | pic.twitter.com/E2TocpYYQo — Newsroom Post (@NewsroomPostCom) January 14, 2021 “Whatever happened in Madhya Pradesh, we all saw. These people are trying to give a message to Hindu community that they can drive a religious wedge between communities,” he said. Last month, a fund-raising rally was organised by a Hindu outfit. While it was collecting funds for a temple construction in Ujjain and was moving through Mahakaal area, it came under attack by stone-pelters from Begum Bagh area. This led to violence, leaving 10-15 injured.
