New Delhi: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar dropped a bombshell while campaigning for the last phase of Assembly elections in the state. The Janata Dal (United) chief announced that this will be last election he will be contesting, leaving all those present at poll rally, shocked and in disbelief.
However, he didn’t say anything about his retirement from political life.
The big announcement ahead of last phase of Assembly elections may work as trump card for him, feel political observers as the Sushashan Babu is widely credited for putting an end to jungle raj in the state and heralding a new era of growth in the state.

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Ajay Kumar said he was always in favour of Kumar’s retirement, He opined that Kumar should have announced a new face who could have been the chief ministerial face of the JD(U).

Nitish Kumar made the big announcement while campaigning in Purnia.
Nitish’s image of Mr Clean has set new benchmarks of probity in political life. However, while campaigning for this year elections, Nitish looked agitated and tense at political rallies. He faced booing and backlash by people at some poll rallies also.
