Union Minister Ashwini Choubey cries copiously in press conference, here is why

New Delhi: Union Minister of State (MoS) Ashwini Choubey, while addressing a press conference in Patna on Monday, broke down into tears and was almost inconsolable for some time.

While briefing the press, he suddenly broke into tears and started crying copiously. The Minister got extremely upset over the death of BJP leader Parshuram Chaturvedi, who led the protest against Bihar Police’s atrocities on Buxar farmers. The Minister reportedly got the news in between presser and got teary-eyed. A rare picture of Union Minister crying in public was instantly captured by the cameras.

The deceased BJP leader Parshuram Chaturvedi accompanied the minister during his Buxar visit, organized protest marches & also helped galvanize people’s support against Nitish government. The BJP leader died of a heart attack on Monday.


The Union Minister reached Patna today and at the press conference, was slamming Nitish Kumar government over barbaric & merciless thrashing of farmers in Buxar, his LS constituency. He recently went to Buxar and led the protest against Bihar government for breaking into homes of farmers and thrashing them while in sleep.

Videos of policemen beating farmers inside their homes also created huge uproar in the area.


Minister’s convoy car overturned last evening

While the Minister was on way to Patna from Buxar, an escort car of his convoy had overturned on Sunday. A couple of policemen were injured in the mishap.

In today’s press conference, the minister also accused the state administration of hatching a conspiracy to thwart his call for action against errant officers. He also claimed that his convoy was pelted with stones by some miscreants but the police administration didn’t take any action.

“I reported the matter to Buxar DM & senior police officials but nothing happened. Nitish govt has to take accountability for this,” the minister said.
