New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) today (March 14) arrested Inamul Haq aka Inam Imitiaz from Uttar Pradesh’s Deoband. The arrest was made by the Saharanpur unit of the UP ATS, and two others were detained from Deoband based hostel where they were staying.
The three youths were picked on Saturday based on an input provided by the Military Intelligence in Meerut. However, the local police is unaware about this.
Inamul Haq, 20-year-old is accused of being linked to Pakistan based terror organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and radicalising youths.
According to reports, since last one year, Inamul Haq was studying in a madrasa of Deoband and was in touch with a handler suspected to be of Lashkar-e-Taiba(LeT).
Meanwhile, the owner of the hostel said that the students were given accommodation only after showing valid documents.
It has been revealed that all the three suspects are residents of Burma and Bangladesh.
Also, Haq was planning to visit Pakistan where he would have received arms training.
