UP becomes the first state in the country to have 13 expressways

Of the total 13 expressways of 3200 km, work is going on on seven, while six expressways are operational.

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has laid the foundation stone of the country’s largest expressway network in the state. In days to come, the state will have more expressway connectivity from many countries of the world. The state has become the first state in the country to have 13 expressways. Of the total 13 expressways of 3200 km, work is going on on seven, while six expressways are operational.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 296 km long Bundelkhand Expressway on July 16 and through this Bundelkhand will be directly connected to Delhi. CM Yogi has made a radical change in the infrastructure of the state in the last five years. Realising that infrastructure is the growth engine of the economy and roads are the mirror of progress, the double engine BJP government has worked extensively for the rejuvenation of the roads.

From the village, streets to block headquarters, and district headquarters, a network of roads connecting other states and other countries has been created. Only one-and-a-half expressways were built in 70 years. The government of double engine has fulfilled the decades-old demand of the people of NCR and western UP. Delhi-Meerut Expressway is an example of this. Also, the foundation stone of the 594 km long Ganga Expressway has been laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This expressway will not only reduce the distance between East and West but will also serve to connect the hearts. Apart from this, Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Gorakhpur Link Expressway, Ghazipur-Ballia-Manjhighat Expressway and Delhi-Dehradun Expressway are being constructed, and all people of the state will get the benefit of this. Industrial corridors are also being built along highways and expressways. These corridors will give impetus to rapid, balanced and inclusive growth as well as immense employment potential. Lands have been marked for this. Airstrips are also being built for landing and take-off of Air Force aircraft in case of emergency.

Bundelkhand will be free from the blot of backwardness

Bundelkhand, which has been backward for decades, is now going to connect directly with Delhi. DND Flyway 9 km, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway 24 km, Yamuna Expressway 165 km, Agra-Lucknow Expressway 135 km and Bundelkhand Expressway 296 km, a total of 630 km will be covered from Delhi to Chitrakoot at a smooth speed.

Bundelkhand Expressway will connect people with Delhi and other states as well. This will benefit the people of Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah districts. People will get the benefit of connecting Bundelkhand with Delhi directly and Bundelkhand will be free from the stain of backwardness.
