Uttar Pradesh crosses new milestone: Over 3 crore people administered Covid vaccine

From July onwards, the State aims to administer 10-12 lakh doses a day in order to achieve the target of 10 crore by the end of August.

New Delhi: The state of Uttar Pradesh, on June 26 , achieved yet another milestone in Covid-19 vaccination by crossing 3 crore doses. The state crossed this milestone at around 1.30 pm on Saturday which includes over 13,70,405 doses given in Lucknow, the highest among districts since the drive started in January.

During the course of the entire day, more than 8 lakh people were inoculated taking the total vaccinations above the 3 crore mark.

The Uttar Pradesh government is keeping on their toes to get the majority of the population inoculated. As the second wave of the novel coronavirus has died down in the State, the demand to get jabbed remains high as it is the only option to fight out the invisible enemy.

With the supply of vaccine having escalated after the Centre announced the ‘Vaccination for All’ drive, the state is in a position to further scale up the operations to a large extent. From July onwards, the State aims to administer 10-12 lakh doses a day in order to achieve the target of 10 crore by the end of August.
