Uttarakhand CM meets PM Modi, discusses developmental issues; invites him for Investor Summit

The Chief Minister extended an invite to PM Modi for the proposed Investors Summit in the state in October/November 2023 and urged him to take time off from busy schedule to participate in its inauguration. 

New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhamin called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday and informed him about wide-scale arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra and various issues related to development of the state.

CM Dhami presented ‘Prasad’ of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, Gangajal of Ganga Tulsi, Gangotri Yamunotri, Alaknanda and Mandakini along with Rudraksha beads to the Prime Minister and also expressed his gratitude for latter’s guidance & cooperation in development of the state.

In the high-level meeting that lasted for more than 1.5 hours, the Chief Minister sought the guidance of Prime Minister on various developmental issues. PM Modi assured the Uttarakhand govt of all possible co-operation from the Centre on Joshimath relocation & resettlement, an official statement said.

CM Dhami invites PM Modi for Investors Summit

The Chief Minister also extended an invite to PM Modi for the proposed Investors Summit in the state in October/November 2023 and urged him to take time off from busy schedule to participate in its inauguration.

He urged the Prime Minister to visit Jageshwar Dham, Adi Kailash, Parvati Sarovar, Om Parvat, visit Mayawati Ashram in Lohaghat. He also requested the Prime Minister to lay the foundation stone of various development schemes under Manaskhand.

Developing 5-7 new cities on the agenda

Talking about roadmap for state’s development, the Chief Minister said that about 5-7 cities have been identified for fast urbanization. Under the first phase of urbanization, there is a plan to develop the city in 2000-acre Parag Farm in Kichha under Udham Singh Nagar.

Union Urban Ministry has been urged to provide assistance of Rs 1,000 crores for the project. This green field city will be located on State Highway 47 and would be connected with Pantnagar railway station.
