Brij Bhushan Sharan gets bail in wrestlers’ sexual harassment case

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to the former WFI chief and Vinod Tomar on a personal bond of Rs. 25000 each in the assault case.

New Delhi: In what comes as relief for the Wrestlers Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan, a city court on Thursday granted him bail in the sexual harassment case.

The embattled MP had moved bail application in the women wrestlers’ sexual harassment case, in which he is the prime accused.

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to the former WFI chief and Vinod Tomar on a personal bond of Rs. 25000 each in the assault case.

The court has however imposed restrictions on Brij Bhushan’s movement. He has been directed not to leave the country without prior permission from the court.

The matter has been listed for next hearing on July 28.
