New Delhi: Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh and senior BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia had a light exchange in Parliament on Thursday, while participating in a debate on farmer protests.
Digvijaya and Scindia are former colleagues belonging to same state but the equation changed after Scindia crossed over from Congress to BJP.
While speaking in Rajya Sabha, Scindia trained guns at the Congress party for its flip-flops over the farm laws and also its deliberate attempt to fan farmer protests by ‘spreading canards’.
It may be noted that Congress party has come out in open support of farmers demanding the revocation of all 3 farm laws. The grand old party’s stand on farm laws is completely opposite of its 2019 manifesto, in which it advocated dilution of Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) laws.

Speaking right after BJP MP Scindia, Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh said, Scindia-ji I congratulate you, You have done an excellent job of expressing the BJP’s view like the way ou earlier used to present the UPA’s point of view. Wah Maharaj-ji wah!” – Digvijaya Singh grinned
Scindia smiled and replied, “It is all thanks to your blessings.”
To which, Digvijay said, “My blessings were always with you, no matter which party you join”
