West Bengal Polls: ‘If people ask me to resign, I will,’ says Amit Shah in response to Mamata Banerjee

New Delhi: Union Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah on Sunday launched an attack on West Bengal Chief Minister saying that he will resign only when people will ask him to do so.

He further said that you ( Mamata Banerjee ) must prepare as you will have to resign on May 2.

“I have come here to make one request. Didi has ruled for 10 years. Would it look good to give her a small farewell? So you should give her a farewell by giving 200 seats to BJP?,” he asked.

Earlier, Didi encouraged youngsters & women (in Sitalkuchi) to come forward & gherao CAPF. You said & left on your wheelchair. But because of you, 4 people died there. On the same morning, a BJP worker also died in the constituency, he said.

45 Assembly segments will go to polls in the fifth phase which is scheduled for April 17. The sixth round for 43 seats would be held on April 22. 35 constituencies will go to polls in the seventh phase elections on April 26. The eighth and final round of elections is scheduled for April 29, when the remaining 35 assembly segments would go to the polls.

The Election Commission of India would declare the results on May 2.
