The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has also grilled Kuntal Ghosh. The agency running a separate probe into the matter called him for questioning over Tapas Monda’s claims that he collected money from job aspirants, to the tune of Rs 19 crore.

Tapas Mondal was the president of Association of Bengal’s private-run colleges and institutions, before he came under the scanner of CBI.

According to CBI sources, Bengal jobs scam ran under the blessings of a couple of TMC leaders, who obtained more than Rs 100 crore from the job aspirants, who were promised jobs as teachers & staff at the state-run schools in the state, from 2014-2021.
