Who is Riddhi Patel a Pro-Palestine Activist who made an offensive speech during Bakersfield Council Meet?

As per the Kern County Superior Court, she will remain in jail on a $1 million bond. Her hearing is schedule to happen again on April 16, 24th and 25th.

New Delhi: The 28 year old Indian American Pro Palestine Protestor Riddhi Patel who made headlines after allegedly threatening and making an offensive speech during a local council meet in Bakersfield, California. She was seen crying during her first court appearance today. The Pro Palestine Protestor also threatened the Mayor Karen Goh and was asked by the security to escort her out. However Riddhi pleaded not guilty on all charges. The hearing was held to press for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. She didn’t stop here, she continued her speech talking about Indian Freedom Fighter Mahatma Gandhi and allegedly wished all council member to die.

She goes on and said “I remind you that these holidays that we practice, that other people in the global south practice, believe in violent revolution against their oppressors, and I hope one day somebody brings the guillotine and kills all of you mother——,”

The 28 year also added that In the last five years I’ve attended city council meetings there’s never been metal detectors, there’s never been more cops,” Patel said. “The only reason you’re doing it is because people actually don’t care if you guys don’t like them and they’re actually resisting so you’re trying to criminalize them.
