Will ensure Sidhu’s defeat from wherever he contests, thunders ‘hurt’ Captain

Captain and Sidhu’s rivalry over calling the shots in the Punjab Congress & state govt has put the party in an unprecedented crisis.

New Delhi: Captain Amarinder Singh is no mood to relent over Navjot Sidhu as he once again declared today that he won’t allow the former PCC president to win from any seat in upcoming Punjab elections.

Reiterating Captain Amarinder Singh’s distaste for Sidhu, former CM’s media advisor Raveen Thukral today tweeted that the latter is not fit for Punjab.

In one of most strident voice, Captain today said that he will ensure that Sidhu loses from whichever seat he contests elections. He also announced recently that he will put up a strong candidate against Sidhu to make him bite the dust in upcoming Assembly elections.

“Won’t let Sidhu win in upcoming Assembly polls. Will ensure his defeat from any seat he contests. He is simply not fit for Punjab,” he tweeted quoting Captain Amarinder Singh.

Just a day ago, Captain called Sidhu an ‘unstable’ man and someone who is highly incompetent to lead a state like Punjab. He also cautioned the Congress high command against making him CM face for the state as the province was already battling infiltrators and ‘drone terror’ from neighbouring Pakistan.

Captain was opposed to Sidhu’s elevation as PCC chief but the High Command apparently sided with the latter and forced out the veteran of CM post. This set off series of spat, first between Captain & high command and then Sidhu & Gandhis, leaving the party in tatters.
