New Delhi: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Khushbu Sundar is trending and is facing criticism for her old tweet on Modi surname that led Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sentenced to two years in jail and disqualified from the Parliament.
At a time when Sundar was in Congress had said in a Tweet that the meaning of Modi should be changed to corruption.
She had Tweeted, “Modi is everywhere, but what’s this? Modi surname is linked with corruption”.

Soon after her old tweet started trending on social media and several users share the screenshots and question her about the same, now in BJP, Kusbu Sundar in her explanation said that Congress was ‘desperate’ to bring up her old tweets.
She said that she is not ashamed of her ‘Modi’ tweet which she had posted when she was in the Congress party. She further said that she was only following the leader and speaking the language of the then party she was in.
She said she will not delete her tweet. Sundar also said that she would like to see how Congress will put her and Rahul Gandhi on the same platform.

In 2020, Sundar joined the BJP after quitting Congress.
On Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was convicted in a defamation case by the Surat District court. Rahu Gandhi was sentenced to two years in jail and following this he was disqualified as an MP the next day.
Meanwhile, he is yet to appeal the verdict in a higher court.
