Yogi govt walks the talk, releases list of 31,277 teachers; appointment letter on Oct 16

Last month, the UP CM Yogi Adityanath had directed officials to finish pending recruitment drive for 31,661 posts in the Department of Basic Education in a week’s time.

New Delhi: Political rivals may keep hatching conspiracy to destabilize Uttar Pradesh government but CM Yogi Adityanath remains firm and resolute on his developmental agenda.

Keeping up his promises on fast-track recruitment of teachers in the state, the Yogi govt on Monday announced list of 31,277 selected teachers and the appointment letter is going to be released as early as October 16.

This comes as festive gift for thousands of teachers who were awaiting confirmation in the teacher recruitment drive.

Last month, the UP CM Yogi Adityanath had directed officials to finish pending recruitment drive for 31,661 posts in the Department of Basic Education in a week’s time.

Basic Education Department had conducted the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exam for the recruitment of 69,000 teachers on January 6 of last year.

On the ongoing controversy, a UP govt spokespersons informed, “Supreme Court, on May 21, 2020, directed the State Government to complete the recruitment process on all the posts except the posts of those assistant teachers which are held by Shiksha Mitras. Hence, the Chief Minister has ordered to complete the process to fill up 31,661 posts in a week’s time.”

Apart from teachers recruitment, CM Yogi has also instructed all departments to finish recruitment drive for vacant posts in 3 months and issuing joining letters to selected applicants in 6 months.

As per official data, in last 3.6 years of rule, Yogi govt has provided employment to over 3 lakh people.
