Australia: Cops arrest a woman on 100th birthday, fulfil her wish

According to a Facebook post by Victoria Police, the woman stated it was “one of the nicest birthday celebrations ever.”

New Delhi: As we often say, there is no age limit on checking things off your bucket list, and this Australian woman proved it. Jean Bickenton was detained by the police for an odd reason on her 100th birthday. Jean had a pretty dramatic birthday celebration. Jean’s wish was realised when the cops detained her in the middle of the party and took her into custody. On their Facebook page, the Victoria police department also posted an update regarding Jean’s arrest. Additionally, claiming that the police assisted her in checking something off her bucket list.

“Now, we’re glad to make these kinds of arrests. Living a life without being arrested is a very excellent accomplishment for many individuals. We’d like to think it’s an obvious one. Not for everyone, but getting jailed was on retired nurse Jean Bicketon’s bucket list. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday, which is a noteworthy achievement in and of itself. The police posted on Facebook, “So when we learned of Jean’s requests, our staff at Moe station were ready to step in and assist tick it off.”


They claimed that three young police officers arrived for Jean’s birthday celebration with lights and sirens to ensure that her desires were fulfilled. After gently putting Ms. Bicketon in handcuffs, the officer declared that she was “officially” in custody.
