‘Bhel puri’ in Masterchef Australia raved judges; Netizens are amused

The ‘bhel puri bhaiya’ who makes it with much ease and in much less time never gets so much appreciation.

New Delhi: Masterchef Australia has been witnessing some Indian fast food items recently which caught the attention of the judges but also netizens. Sarah Todd made ‘bhel puri’ in one of the rounds of the cooking competition and the judges understandably gave rave views as per Scoopwhoop. This appeared to be slightly amusing to the Desis watching the show as ‘bhel puri’ which appeared to be the staple food for many Indians never got the same recognition.

The ‘bhel puri bhaiya’ who makes it with much ease and in much less time never gets so much appreciation. ‘Bhel puri’ is delicious and flavourful food and deserves all praise when all’s said and done. However, the problem is with the misappropriation over which many Twitterati seemed divided.

However, many stated that making ‘bhel puri’ is an art, and accomplishing it in 10 minutes is praiseworthy.

Recently, another Desi food-related incident drew some attention on social media. Indian food is known for its diversity, besides, every region of the country has some specialty and staple dish. There never has been any “national dish.” Thus, Reddit user’s posts caused quite a storm when they shared a page out of the recipe book and claimed that the “Indian curry” is the national dish of the country.
