Femina Miss India 2023: All you need to know about the mega event

Amid the political crisis in Rajasthan, the state has come up with a coveted title as Nandini Gupta of Kota district of Rajasthan won Miss India 2023 title. The crowning of Femina Miss India was organized in Manipur’s Imphal, where the 19-year-old won the grand finale on 15 April.

Meanwhile, the first runner up was Shreya Poonja of Delhi and the second runner up title was awarded to Thounaojam Strela Luwang of Manipur.

Who performed at the event?

The gala evening of Femina Miss India 2023 also witnessed some spectacular performances by former pageant winners, which included Rubal Shekhawat, Sini Shetty, Shinata Chauhan, Manika Sheokand, Manasa Varanasi, Manya Singh, Shivani Jadhav and Suman Rao.

In addition to this, bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan performed at the gala event dressed in an attractive red suit. He catched all the eyeballs with his unbeatable moves on super hits like ‘Coca Cola Tu’ and ‘Dheeme Dheeme’, among others.

Meanwhile, Ananya Pandey also gave a dazzling performance in a pink dress. Her stunning dance made the temperatures high.

Who hosted the mega event?

Bollywood actors Bhumi Pednekar and Manish Paul hosted the event displaying multiple fashion rounds of 30 state winners who showcased traditional costumes by Namrata Joshipura. Bhumi staged with a styled fluffy skirt with matching black styled top while Manish wore a navy blue suit with his hosting skills adding cherry on the cake.

The state winners of the grand ceremony were judged by some established personalities, including Miss India Universe 2002 Neha Dhupia, Choreographer Terence Lewis, Boxing Icon Laishram Sarita Devi, and Film Director Harshvardhan Kulkarni. The panel also encompassed designer Namrata Joshipura and Rocky Star.

Who is Nandini Gupta?

Glimpsing over her background, Nandini Gupta has had a dream of winning Miss India since the age of 10. Her schooling was completed at St. Paul’s School. Putting recently, she is pursuing Business Management from Lala Lajpat Rai College.

In an interview, Nandini opined to have been influenced by industrialist Ratan Tata. She said, “He is the man of humanity who donated most to charity. He is always grounded and loved by people.” The 19-year-old winner also mentioned being influenced by Priyanka Chopra, who has given back to society and has inspired many.”
