The idea of MomSoon came to Neha when she was expecting her first child 7 years ago in 2009, seeing the lack of options available for a Pregnant Mom.
Neha Nahata is the woman behind MomSoon, a Maternity and Nursing Wear Brand that is designed to offer hi-street Maternity Nursing wear Options for today’s modern Mama who seeks chic yet comfortable clothes during the most important phase of their lives – Pregnancy. Most of our styles can be worn after pregnancy also for a long time.
The idea of MomSoon came to Neha when she was expecting her first child 7 years ago in 2009, seeing the lack of options available for a Pregnant Mom. The idea finally came into existence in 2017 and coincidently, she was expecting her second child then. Since launching, the company is growing to be known as the “ONE” brand when it comes to Maternity and Nursing Solutions.
I started MomSoon to be connected to Mamas who want to feel beautiful, confident, and stylish yet very comfortable during one of life’s most beautiful and important phases. When I got pregnant, there were literally no options for Maternity Wear. I literally used to order from International websites and landed up paying huge custom duties on my packages. Since then, I wanted to bridge this big gap.
I hail from the Oswal family and the textile industry being my background, it’s always been close to my heart. I experienced this first, when I started my career at KOOVS, one of India’s leading e-commerce fashion portals wherein I started its private label and was working as the Fashion Director of the Company.
After being associated with KOOVS for about 5 years, which was a great experience and a platform from where I learnt a lot, I moved on to starting my next inspiration, MomSoon, now 2 years old.
Gradually, MomSoon is growing from just an online presence on its own website to partnering with different e-commerce platforms, to even going offline to collaborate with stores like Mothercare, Maa and Baby etc. MomSoon has a kiosk at Fortis La Femme. Needless to say, when I started MomSoon, I was wearing every single hat one has to when you are just starting up.
I do have plans to continue expanding the brand. We are currently working on some exciting collaborations as well as some new launches. In a nutshell, I envision that MomSoon becomes a household and a One-Shop-Stop name when it comes to Pregnancy. We will always continue to listen to our consumers by always appreciating the feedback we get and working on them along with continuously innovating to create the best products for our customers.
