Several incidents have been reported this year with leopards coming out of their habitat and roaming around on the roads near the neighbourhoods of humans. Many reports have been made where the big cats are seen injuring several animals as well as humans after which the Forest Department has been informed to take them back.
One such incident that has been captured through CCTV was shared by Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan. The video shows a leopard jumping over the locked gate and attacking a family’s pet dog off the camera. The date of the video is not known begins by showing the dog standing near the locked gate of a house. Seems to be scared by something, the dog starts running away at top speed. After some time, the leopard jumps over the gate.
The terrifying video shows the leopard jumping over the gate and running straight after the dog. After a few seconds, the big cat was seen escaping with the dog being gripped firmly in its mouth.
Parveen Kaswan shared the clip on Twitter and captioned it as, “See that leopard. Others don’t stand a chance.” He further stated that he received the clip on WhatsApp.

Since the share of the video, thousands of views have been garnered on the microblogging platform.
Besides, in the comment section, Kaswan said that leopards hunting dogs have been a common phenomenon in the hilly regions. To prevent such attacks, some dog owners make their pets were an iron collar around their neck.
This is unusual sight for some. But in many regions including hilly areas Leopards usually hunt dogs. So local people keep a iron collar over their pets. Which save them.

Leopard was chasing this dog. Both entered into a house & got into a toilet. Family members locked the door from outside. It happened in Kadaba, Dakshina Kannada district.
Later FD rescued the leopard or the dog in this case.
Currently this dog kind of a celebrity in region.
