
New Delhi: BCCI has announced the team India’s home leg schedule. The Indian team will face Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia at home next year. The home leg will begin with a 3-match T20I and 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in January. Leading up to the 2023 World Cup in India, the team will play a lot of white-ball cricket and looking at the World Test Championship, India will face Australia in the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

After an ODI series defeat against Bangladesh, the team needs to rethink the strategy and apply it during these three tours. The series can also get interesting if India goes for a split captaincy for ODIs and T20Is.

New Zealand’s tour to India
After playing against Sri Lanka, India will go on to face New Zealand from January 18 onwards. The lack of a break is good for the rhythm of the athletes, however, it might lead to some injuries. India will play three ODIs and three T20Is against the Blackcaps.
