Chahal’s flip-flop on field leaves Team India red-faced, questions galore over big confusion (VIDEO)

The incident was recorded on TV cameras and also went viral, leaving the cricket fans surprised & startled over who was behind such fiasco.

New Delhi: Team India, Hardik Pandya & Rahul Dravid in particular, had an embarrassing moment on the field during the first Twenty20 match against West Indies at Brain Lala Stadium in Trinidad.

The incident happened in last over of India’s innings as India was 9 wickets down against the hosts in 1st T20. And, at the centre of storm is Yuzvender Chahal, who first walked into the cricket field, then tried to return to pavilion and then again went to bat in the final overs. The incident left cricket fans & netizens baffled and also wondering about the ‘comedy of errors’ and big confusion among the Men in Blue.

It so happened that Kuldeep was walking back to pavilion, Chahal was all geared up to bat at Number 10 and he also walked into the field, only to then realized that the team management including Hardik Pandya & Rahul Dravid wanted Mukesh Kumar instead to face the last over.

The incident was recorded on TV cameras and also went viral, leaving the cricket fans surprised & startled over who was behind such fiasco. In the video, Chahal could be seen returning from field, apparently over noises from the dugout while Mukesh Kumar hurried to get on the field.

Hilarious VIDEO of Chahal’s flip-flop

But, the umpires & cricket rules stepped in and Chahal was prevented from going back. Umpires told him that as per the rules of game, a batter once stepped on the field can’t get back to dugout and send another player.
Chahal was then ‘forced’ to proceed to bat in the last overs.

The Men in Blue lost the first T20 the ‘weaker’ side despite starting their campaign on a good note.

Mukesh Kumar came as the last batsman and had the difficult task of hitting a six on the last ball, to make India win the match. But, he couldn’t do the expected and could just manage 1 run.

Lot many fans debated whether confusion over Chahal made India pay the price. But, given their batting records, it wouldn’t mattered much as both are bowlers and don’t have strong batting records.
