New Delhi: The 47th edition of Copa America was postponed from its original dates of June 12 to July 12, 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Brazil locked horns with Venezuela to kick start the Copa America tournament.
Brazil thrashed Venezuela by 3-0 in the opener with Marquinhos, Neymar, and Gabriel Barbosa providing the goals to get the hosts’ campaign off to a strong start.
A total of ten teams are participating in Copa America and are being divided into two groups of 5 each.
