From Gavaskar, Hayden to Ashwin & Jadeja, all groove on Oscar winning Naatu Naatu song (VIDEO)

While the nation celebrated the groundbreaking success of song, it also drew accolades & applause from various other fraternities including cricket & politics.

New Delhi: The Oscar fever is on and cinebuffs are pumped up over Rajamouli’s RRR roaring success at the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles. The Oscar fever also reverberated on cricket pitch as legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was seen shaking leg on the popular song.

Rajamouli directorial RRR scripted history in this edition of Oscars as its song Naatu Naatu won the award for Best Original Song. While the nation celebrated the groundbreaking success of song, it also drew accolades & applause from various other fraternities including cricket & politics.

Sunil Gavaskar & Matthew Hayden, the cricketer-turned commentators, were seen matching the hook steps of Naatu Naatu while dissecting the final day of 4th test match in Ahmedabad.

Gavaskar & his Australian counterpart Hayden greeted the Indian film fraternity over mega feat and did a small jig on the field. Another good news was India sailing into World Test Championship (WTC) final with 2-1 series win in Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Ashwin & Jadeja groove on ‘Naatu Naatu’

The spinning duo of Ravichandran Ashwin & Ravindra Jadeja also celebrated in style. Naatu Naatu’s bagging of top honours at Oscars, coupled with Team India’s qualification for WTC final was a moment to rejoice and the duo didn’t hold back in celebrating the special moment.

The duo shared a hilarious video on Instagram handle, where they could be seen having a repartee, while enacting a scene from Akshay Kumar’s movie & then concluding the session with a small dance on the Oscar-winning song.

The Border Gavaskar Trophy proved highly beneficial for both the spinners as they clinched record number of wickets against the visitors. Both were jointly adjudged as the winner of Player of Series.

Ashwin, claiming 25 wickets in the current series, entered a select league of Indian bowlers while Jadeja was also in sublime form. Ashwin (25 wickets) & Jadeja (22) were the biggest wicket takers in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
