New Delhi: Gujarat Titans have been enjoying their maiden win at the TATA IPL 2022 in the most exciting way. The new team in the Indian Premier League celebrated their win in their hometown on Monday. Gujarat Titans lifted the trophy of IPL this season on Sunday at Narendra Modi Stadium.

The team took out a victory parade on an open bus and roamed through the important streets of the city. The team won the match against Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. Gujarat Titans played only one match at their home ground as the preliminary league matches were played in Maharashtra while the first two playoff matches were played in Kolkata.

Gujarat Titans were led by Hardik Pandya.

The roadshow was encouraged with huge crowds coming onto the city roads to greet the team from close quarters. The roadshow started at 5.30 pm at Usmanpura Riverfront and ended at Vishwakunj Riverfront, slowly winding through some major parts of the city.

Besides, the players met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, who felicitated the players on behalf of the government.

The team took to Twitter to share some glimpses of the roadshow. The team thanked all its fans for the support and the Ahmedabad police for making sure that the roadshow was a success. “We couldn’t have won this #SeasonOfFirsts without you, #TitansFAM. We can’t thank the city police enough for ensuring our roadshow was a roaring success! Love and wishes, #AavaDe,” the Gujarat Titans wrote in their tweet.

Hardik Pandya after winning the trophy stated, “This title is going to be a special one because we talked about creating a legacy. The coming generations will talk about it.”

“Everyone will remember this was the team who started this journey and to win the championship first year is very special,” he added.
