India Men’s hockey team settles for silver; loses against Australia in final

New Delhi: India men’s hockey team won a silver medal at Commonwealth Games on Monday in Birmingham. Team India lost the final match against Australia by 0-7. In the last game in 2018, India finished fourth position.

Earlier, India won a silver medal in the 2014 and 2010 Commonwealth Games. This is a big achievement for team India as the women’s team won a bronze earlier this week.

Before coming into the final, team India defeated Ghana by 11-0, followed by Canada 8-0 and Wales 4-1 and South Africa in the semifinal 3-2.
