New Delhi: After a long wait and countless rumours surrounding the head coach job, Gautam Gambhir is finally set to assume the role of India’s head coach duties. Gambhir steps into the transitional phase of Indian cricket when a lot of senior players like Rishab Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are rested.
In the absence of all the senior players, Hardik Pandya will probably lead the side with Suryakumar Yadav second-in-command. However, some insider reports have claimed that Pandya might miss the upcoming tour citing personal reasons. Although the official squad list is yet to be confirmed, things look topsy-turvy as far as the T20I squad is concerned.
