India Vs Afghanistan: Swiggy trolls Afghan pacer Naveen Ul Haq, netizens have a field day

For the uninitiated, Afgan pacer Naveen indulged in an ugly spat with India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli during the course of a game between Lucknow Super Gaint and Royal Challenger Bangalore in IPL 2023.

New Delhi: India’s leading food delivery platform Swiggy has been lately making headlines for trolling Afgan cricketer Naveen Ul Haq ahead of India’s much-anticipated encounter against Afghanistan in the 9th fixture of ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday.

For the uninitiated, Afgan pacer Naveen indulged in an ugly spat with India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli during the course of a game between Lucknow Super Gaint and Royal Challenger Bangalore in IPL 2023.

Naveen’s ugly spat with Kohli

The verbal spat occurred after Virat Kohli’s RCB handed over an 18-run defeat to Naveen Ul Haq’s LSG in the league stage of the Indian Premier League.

While the rest of the players and staff were busy shaking hands with each other, Naveen indulged in a heated exchange of words with the Indian Batting Maestro and even tried to push him aside.

However, Naveen’s beef with Virat didn’t go well with the netizens who brutally trolled and Slammed the young cricketer for fighting with a senior cricketer who has achieved much more than him in his cricketing career.

Later on, IPL’s governing council also swung into action and condemned the incident while imposing a fine on both Virat and Naveen for their involvement in the ugly spat.

Swiggy trolls Naveen

Taking a Dig at the 24-year-old cricketer over his altercation with Virat, Swiggy took to their Twitter (Now X) handle and roasted the Pacer with a hilarious tweet they wrote, “aaj mango aam hai aur cheeku khaas hai.”

Swiggy’s comment for Naveen soon went viral on social media and netizens started to give their reaction to the same. One user wrote, “its Mango vs Cheeku”

Another said, “Can’t wait to watch King Kohli making Mango Shake today” Mango festival in Delhi today”, read a third comment.

Who started it first?

While Kohli and his fans have kept on alleging that it was Naveen who started it first by provoking the former RCB skipper, Naveen and his side have often claimed that it was Virat who started the argument by trying to grab the cricketer’s hand with an intention of insulting him.

However, regardless of who started the banter, ugly incidents like this must be condemned by the cricketing community as they not only adversely affect the mental health of the cricketers but also tarnish the image of this gentlemen’s game.
