India vs England: Predicted XI, Livestreaming, Pitch Report and More

India will take on England in the semis of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup in what turns out to be re-match of the 2022 T20 WC Semifinals.

New Delhi: In a re-match of the 2022 T20 World Cup Semifinals, India will take on England once again. The last time these two sides met at this stage of the tournament, England steamrolled past India to play a memorable final against Pakistan.

However, the tables have turned two years later as the men in blue take on the three lions once again! Can India exact its pending revenge on the three lions?

India vs England- Predicted XI

India

India is expected to continue with the same lineup. The men in blue have found the right balance of experience and youth within the lineup. However, Rohit’s cryptic message of packing up 4 spinners hints at the inclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal and we might see the usual “Kul-Cha” duo once again. But, the main question is who will make way for Chahal.

India probable XI

Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav.

India vs England- Pitch Report

The pitch in Guyana will be heaven for all the spinners from both sides as one can see sharp turns and bounce. Since the game is slotted in the morning cycle, the pitch will slow down even more as the day progresses. Guyana has not seen any high-scoring run fest and it is likely to remain the same.

There is a chance of a heavy downpour and as such India will most likely look to chase the game. Powerplay will be crucial for both teams since there will be no high-scoring fiesta at the venue.

England

England also has a little selection dilemma to solve. Their main concern is whether to play Chris Jordan or drop him. Jordan coming fresh after taking a hat-trick will be useful in the dusty bowls of Guayana. On the other hand, given the form of Will Jacks and the pitch’s slowish nature, the England batsman could get a shot in the Playing XI.

England probable XI

Phil Salt, Jos Buttler (c&wk), Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook/Will Jacks, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan, Jofra Archer, Reece Topley, Adil Rashid.
