India Vs England: Sarfaraz Khan’s father gets teary-eyed ahead of his debut in Rajkot

It was a dream come true for the 26 year old Sarfaraz Khan who will be part of the India Vs England series in Rajkot

New Delhi: It was a dream come true for the 26 year old Sarfaraz Khan who will be part of the India Vs England series in Rajkot. The Indian cricketer was handed over his test cap by the veteran spinner Anil Kumble minutes before the toss. As Virat Kohli, K L Rahul are unavailable, Sarfaraz will pair up with Rajat Patidar and Dhruv Jurel. The cricketer’s father was also present at the ground and got emotional during the event.

Cricket fans showered love and respect for the cricketer and wished him lots of blessings and love ahead of the match.

Sarfaraz was asked to wait first as the team decided to go ahead with Rajat Patidar for the match. Eventually the absence of Virat Kohli and K L Rahul made the way for Sarfaraz’s entry into the team. Former Indian Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar said that Sarfaraz is most likely to make his debut in the test match in Rajkot. “I think the quality that’s needed in this particular series are just Indian batters who play spin well. There’s where you think Sarfaraz Khan suddenly makes his case very strong. I would want Rajat Patidar as the incumbent to take that place at number four and then have Sarfaraz Khan coming at number five only on the basis that he was in the queue before,”
