New Delhi: A video of Indian batter KL Rahul facing the bowling legend Jhulan Goswami in the nets at National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru, has gone viral on the internet. KL Rahul is back practising after the surgery for his sports hernia in Germany. He was supposed to lead the Indian men’s side for the series against South Africa, in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma, but the injury led him to pull out of the series.
In the video, Goswami is seen bowling a full-length delivery to which Rahul replies with a drive. For the next ball, the leading wicket-taker in women’s ODIs pulled her length shorter, and Rahul played a cut on backfoot. While Rahul is at NCA after the surgery, Goswami is practising there as she would not be a part of the Indian women’s squad for the Commonwealth Games as she retired from the T20I format.

KL Rahul was last seen playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is included in the T20I squad on the tour to West Indies. However, the final decision regarding his inclusion is subject to his fitness. On the other hand, Jhulan Goswami was last seen playing in the ICC Women’s World Cup.
