New Delhi: Kolkata court ordered India pace bowler Mohammed Shami to pay monthly alimony of Rs 50,000 to estranged wife Hasin Jahan.
This comes after Jahan made several allegations against the right-arm pacer four years ago.
She had expressed unhappiness over the alimony amount decided by the court and in 2018, she filed a legal case seeking monthly alimony of Rs 10 lakh. She demanded Rs 7 lakh for her personal expenses and Rs 3 lakh for their daughter’s maintenance.
The spat between the couple started when Hasin filed an official complaint at Jadavpur Police station where she accused Shami of adultery and domestic abuse.
After the complaint was filed, Shami was slapped with non-bailable charges of domestic abuse and attempt to murder.
She also claimed that Shami threatened her over the phone using different phone numbers.
However, the Indian cricketer denied all the allegations against him.

Last year in September, after India won against Pakistan at Asia Cup, Hasin Jahan shared a photo of Hardik Pandya and attacking Shami indirectly who was not in the Indian squad.
Her post was criticized by Shami’s fans spreading widespread outrage.
