New Delhi: There has been a lot of buzz around Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s daughter Vamika. While Virat and Anushka are in the headlines on daily basis, they have tried to keep their daughter away from this. However, recently, a young Virat Kohli fan held a banner in the stadium, asking out Vamika for a date, which invited a backlash.

In the game between, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, a boy was seen with a banner, which said, “Hi Virat uncle, can I have Vamika on a date?”

The netizens did not back off in calling out the child’s parents/guardians for coming with such a banner. While people questioned the parenting, they also called the incident creepy and asked fans to ‘leave Vamika alone’.

From being ‘creepy’ to rape threats, fans and trolls have crossed the limit when it comes to the children of sportspersons and celebs in the country, and this culture needs to be called out as everyone has a right to grow in a safe and private environment.

In the game, Virat Kohli could not have much of an impact as chasing 227, he got out for 6 off 4 by Akash Singh after the ball hit his legs and rolled to the stumps. In the high-scoring encounter, RCB lost by eight runs after skipper Faf du Plessis scored 62 off 33 and Glenn Maxwell played a knock of 76 off 36. There were high-power cameos by Dinesh Karthik and Suyash Prabhudessai, but Tushar Deshpande picked up three wickets while Matheesha Pathirana picked two and also defended 19 in the last over.

Devon Conway scored 83 off 45 for CSK, while Shivam Dube scored 52 off 27 to take their side to a massive total of 226/6.
