ODI WC 2023: Full Schedule of Warm-up matches and LIVE-Streaming details in India

India will have its warm-up match against defending champions England and Netherlands in their two matches and will take place in Guwahati & Thiruvananthapuram respectively.

New Delhi: The ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 is all set to kick-start in about a week from now. The cricketing spectacle will begin with the inaugural match between England & New Zealand on October 5 while Team India will begin its World Cup campaign on October 8 in Chennai, with its first clash against five-time champion Australia.

The countdown for the World Cup has begun. Series of warm-up matches are scheduled between the participating ten teams over next few days. These warm-matches will be played from September 29 to October 3 and will allow respective teams to gear up for the World Cup challenge.

When and where will warm-up matches happen?

The warm up matches between the participating 10 teams will take place at 3 locations namely Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad – from September 29 to October 3.

As per fixtures, each of 10 teams will play 2 warm-up for next 4 days, starting tomorrow. The World Cup tournament will kick-off from October 5 and final contest is slated for November 19.

Will warm-up have ODI status?

Warm-up matches will be of 50 overs, as in ODI matches, however, it won’t have ODI status. Respective teams will however have the flexibility to field all 15 players on their side.

September 29, 2023 – Friday (Time: 2 PM)

• New Zealand vs Pakistan, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
• Bangladesh v Sri Lanka, Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati
• South Africa v Afghanistan, Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram

September 30, 2023 – Saturday (Time: 2 PM)

• India vs England, Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati
• Netherlands vs Australia, Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram

October 2, 2023 – Monday (Time: 2 PM)

• England vs Bangladesh, Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati
• South Africa vs New Zealand, Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram
October 3, 2023 – Tuesday (Time: 2 PM)
• India vs Netherlands, Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram
• Pakistan vs Australia, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
