New Delhi: After an epic victory in the FIFA World Cup finals, Argentina’s captain and the star of the match, Lionel Messi, entered the locker room and erupted in child-like joy.
In a viral video making rounds on the internet, Lionel Messi can be seen climbing on the top of a table in the dressing room with the FIFA World Cup trophy in his hand and jumping with joy. Soon, he is joined by fellow teammates. The video was originally posted on the IG live of Messi’s teammate Nicolas Otamendi.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup Final was one tense match between Argentina and France where viewers couldn’t take their eyes off the scene.
Argentina beat the defending champion France in penalties 4-2, after a 3-3 locked end after extra time.
In an absolutely cut-throat battle, the two finalists gave their best on the football pitch. Thanks to Messi’s penalty and Angel Maria’s strike, Argentina started with an edge ahead in the first half. France tried to flip the scorecard with captain Kylian Mbappe scoring twice. In the 108th minute, Lionel Messi took it again at the goalpost only for Mbappe to make it even at 3-3 in the 118 minutes off a penalty.
Finally, Argentina emerged victorious as the match went into penalties again, ending in Messi-led Argentina’s favour 4-2.
Argentina’s Enzo Fernandez got the Best young player award. Lionel Messi, who played his last match at FIFA got the Golden Ball.
