India and Pakistan have a historical standoff which has trespassed the cricketing circles into a full-blown conflict. Naturally, the Indian cricket board has become sceptical of sending the national side for the upcoming tournament.
But, in the latest meeting that was held in Colombo, it is believed that the Pakistan board is trying its level best to bring the BCCI on board by rolling out favourable promises for the Indian cricket team.
PCB tries to rope in BCCI with Money!
According to anonymous sources, in a recent meeting which took place in Colombo, PCB set aside a “supplementary budget” for the BCCI in case the Indian team decides to play its matches outside Pakistan.
However, sources believe that this move is just an eyewash for the public and PCB only wants to make things favourable for BCCI. Some sources predict that the move is triggered to fill the coffers of BCCI and lure them to send the team to Pakistan.

However, BCCI has always maintained that playing or not playing in Pakistan rests with the Indian government. So far, the decision has been taken that the Indian team will play all its matches in Lahore with the high-octane India vs Pakistan clash taking place on March 1 in the same venue.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has handed over the responsibility of bringing the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
