New Delhi: Pakistan’s legendary cricketer Wasim Akram is hogging the headlines over his violent outburst at a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match on Wednesday. The former pacer was seen losing his cool and kicking the sofa in front of him, after his side Karachi Kings lost the league match to Multan Sultans by 3 runs.

This was fourth crushing defeat for Karachi Kings out of 5 matches so far in the ongoing PSL. As the team lost its 4 PSL game by a whisker, the former cricketer couldn’t control his anger and was seen hitting the sofa in dressing room, in a fit of rage.

His outburst was caught on camera and photos & videos of his hitting the sofa landed on social media, eliciting many reactions from cricketer lovers.

Wasim Akram’s mentored team Karachi Kings lost the match on last ball of game. Also, this was 4th straight win for Multan Sultans in the ongoing PSL. Multans had piled up a total of 196/2 runs on back of Mohammad Rizwan’s captain knock of 110 runs.

A lot of netizens commented on fuming Wasim Akram’s behavior while others mocked him for not keeping his temper under check.

How Akram’s team tamed by Multan Sultans

Multan Sultan chose to bat first. It posted a big total of 196/2 runs in 20 overs on back of captain Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten 110 runs.

In reply, Karachi Kings started the innings on a strong note and openers Matthew Wade & James Vince put together 75 runs on the scorecard. Wade got dismissed cheaply but Vince kept his onslaught at the other end. He went on to score 75 runs in just 34 balls.

However, despite off to flying start and valiant effort by Karachi men, it fell short of the target by 3 runs.
With Multan beating the Karachi Kings, they have topped the table charts while the latter stand at fourth spot.
