Sania Mirza trolled on Twitter after India’s tennis team fails to make cut at Olympics

New Delhi: India’s tennis star Sania Mirza’s hopes of winning a medal at Tokyo Olympics has ended, with the player failing to make the cut in doubles as well as mixed doubles event.
After exiting the Olympics, Sania got active on Instagram and posted a few photos. Sports fans and netizens found this act ‘objectionable’ and vent out their anger over India’s fading hopes of medal from the tennis game.
Indian tennis team’s campaign at the Tokyo Olympics officially ended on Tuesday as Sania Mirza and Sumit Nagal could not proceed to the next round due to their low combined ranking of 153. Women’s doubles pair of Sania Mirza and Ankita Raina also lost its opener from winning position.
One of the users wrote, “You do this only. Winning medal at Olympics is not your cup of tea.”
